Rules of Attendance

For safety purposes and out of respect for the hosts and your fellow attendees, please adhere to the following rules when attending an AEL Play Party:

  • Negotiate everything. Safe, sane, and consensual.
  • Respect the home - clean up after yourself.
  • Don't touch without consent, both people and toys.
  • Don't hit on other people's partners.
  • No intoxication - one cannot give consent while intoxicated.
  • Universal safewords: Yellow - something in the scene needs to change / Red - the whole room must stop playing until the issue is resolved.
  • No exchange of money or barter for play.
  • No deliberate drawing of bodily fluids.
  • No penetration - with anything.
  • No recording, either audio or video.
  • Phones may only be used outside.
  • Smoking may only be done outdoors.
  • Put down a towel or blanket when nude.
  • All hosts, organizers, and attendees are entitled to full and complete confidentiality.
  • If a scene is in progress, don't talk to them before, during, or while after care is happening.
  • Pay attention to the off-limit areas. Closed doors are a good indicator.
  • All hosts, organizers, and attendees are entitled to full and complete tolerance, regardless of race, gender, size, religion, etc.
  • The time limit on play is 45 minutes in any given space.
  • Keep your noise down around scenes.
